This a digitally inked re-drawing of [link] that I have colored in photoshop. Completed Feb. 13th '07.
This is a picture of Genica done for a group project over at the Amaz0ns forum. Anyway, it's inked in Painter, shaded by hand on a printout, and then colored and textured in Photoshop. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. The skin texture is a mix of hand drawn and digital. The orange hatching you can see on her arms is pencil that has been changed in hue and saturation. The other mottled texture is done in Photoshop, using a low opacity brush set to the Chalk preset.
I think I have painted over a few printouts (not the present piece) using acrylic paint. Hmm- I can't find any finished examples, but it is workable- just of dubious archival quality. If I find a piece I have done that way I'll post it in scraps.
